MOT Type 1 Hardcore
MOT type 1, also known as hardcore and road stone, is a crushed stone and dust material often used as the sub base for driveways, patios and pathways.It is the main load-bearing layer, and its consistency is made up of 40mm crushed stone down to dust meaning it is the perfect material for compacting to form a strong base for any project.
Washed Concrete Sand
Washed concrete sand, also known as sharp sand, is a mixture of sand and fine gravel particles. This product is used in the laying mix of paving slabs and also as a screed bed when block paving.
Red Building Sand
Also known as soft sand, as the name suggests is used to create a mortar mix when laying brickwork. Dark red in colour, when mixed with cement forms a reddish-brown mortar. Other uses include with the laying mix for paving, blinding layer in construction and ponds.
Meriden Building Sand
Also known as soft sand, as the name suggests is used to create a mortar mix when laying brickwork. Yellow brown in colour, when mixed with cement forms a darkish grey mortar. Other uses include within the laying mix for paving.
Yellow Building Sand
Also known as soft sand, as the name suggests is used to create a mortar mix when laying brickwork. Yellow in colour, when mixed with cement forms a light grey mortar.
Ballast (Sand & Gravel)
Formed of a mix of sharp sand and 20-5mm gravel, its main use is in the formation of concrete when cement and water are added. The strongest of foundations are created using concrete.
Granite Sand
Dark grey in colour, this very sharp 0-6mm limestone dust, when compacted creates a very firm base and is ideal for use in the laying of artificial turf and block paving.
Plastering Sand
As the name suggests this sand is perfect for plastering and rendering, both outdoors and indoors. Plastering sand has a very fine texture, usually 0-2mm in size.
Silver Sand
This specially graded washed and none staining premium sand is ideal as a play sand in children’s sandpits and also has uses within the garden for well informed horticulturalists.
14mm Gravel
Actual size 10-16mm and often referred to as Staffordshire pink, this pinkish-grey gravel has many uses and being our locally sourced gravel, is most cost effective when used as ground cover or in drainage applications.
General Purpose Cement
A multipurpose cement ideal for concrete mixes, mortars, renders, screeds and DIY applications. Supplied in paper bags.
General Purpose Cement Plus
A multipurpose cement containing special additives for superior performance and higher strength. Supplied in weather-proof plastic bags allowing it to be stored outside, reducing waste and deterioration.
Post Mix
A kiln-dried pre-blended product, no mixing required, just add water. Postmix fixes all types of wood, concrete and metal posts in all types of soil. Sets in 5-10 minutes and then hardens rapidly to allow for fence hanging in 30 minutes. Supplied in plastic bags, allowing it to be stored outside without risk of deterioration.
Cold Lay Tarmac
Suitable for patching macadam potholes and making good damaged areas, this quick and easy to use product, supplied in plastic bags is best used warmed to improve workability.
Kiln Dried Sand
Ideal for brushing into the joints of block paving, whether on a newly laid drive or after cleaning an existing one.
Dansand
This is a washed, kiln-dried round grain so it is ideal for block paving applications. The NO GROW™ mix of quartz sand with nutrient-poor minerals also creates desert-like conditions thanks to its high pH value, meaning weeds are less likely to grow. Available in traditional light sand and quartz grey colour.
